Holy schnikes, it’s already the middle of March. I recently went through what might’ve been seasonal flu or maybe some other nasty stuff-I’m not really sure, but I definitely did not like it. Not even a bit. Thankfully, now I’m feeling much better and ready to tackle whatever comes my way.
I’ve got so much stuff to spill into this blog post. Hopefully, it’ll be enjoyable for you to read. Let’s dive right in!
Super exciting news-here in our small, cute little country of Bulgaria, we haven’t seen many famous stand-up comedians perform live. However, in the span of just two weeks, they’ve announced shows by Louis CK and Iliza Shlesinger. My wallet certainly felt it, not gonna lie, but I’m absolutely thrilled and eager for these events.
When things felt confusing or sad in my younger days, stand-up comedy, particularly George Carlin, always got me through. Over the last couple of years-let’s not get political-but things have felt pretty messed up. Some edgy jokes might just be the perfect remedy to help us smile. Another thing I’m delighted about is that people here are finally starting to embrace stand-up comedy as a genre. We’ve always had some monologues by comedians or actors on TV, but not stand-up comedy in the truest sense. And we all know why that’s changed-mostly thanks to YouTube. This platform, man. Fingers crossed that Google doesn’t decide to do something funny with it. If you haven’t checked out the Google Graveyard yet, you might wanna take a look. It’s equal parts funny and scary.
Anyway, let’s continue with my latest obsession-3D printing. With great excitement, I’m happy to announce that I bought my very first 3D printer! (For those curious about my choice of printer, it’s the Creality Ender 3 V3 SE. Man, that naming scheme is almost as complicated as monitor manufacturers’.) My initial reaction to this fascinating hobby was simply, “Ohhh… my… god.” It genuinely feels like the whole world is now at my fingertips.
I’m still slacking on those Fusion 360 tutorials, but I’ll get through them soon-I promise. My primary reason for buying a 3D printer was to organize my life better. And, naturally, many of those organizers have to be custom-made. I’ve already created a few prototypes for some of my ideas using various materials. Now, I just need to master 3D modeling and start printing them. Super easy, barely an inconvenience. Damn you, Ryan George-that’s such a fantastic line!
Anywho, for the time being, I’m browsing all the websites-Printables, Thangs, Makerworld, Thingiverse-discovering fun ideas and printing like crazy. I’ve already printed a couple of handy tools that have earned their place in my “maker” rotation. Overall, it’s been fantastic.
Let’s finish strong for today. So… the weather’s kinda crazy, eh?
Throughout my life, there have always been people thinking I talk about the weather as small talk, but joke’s on them. I genuinely love observing the weather. I love noticing patterns, recalling how it behaved in previous years, guessing what we might expect next, questioning if things have gotten crazier or if we’ve simply forgotten what last year was like-you know, stuff like that. A couple of months ago, I came up with a pretty solid explanation for my fascination: meteorologists are just nerdier versions of me who actually read books about weather and possess deeper knowledge. So you might say I’m basically a newbie meteorologist-I look at the forecast and think, “Hm, that’s unusual.”
Thank you for sticking around! Now that I’ve recovered from two painful weeks of being sick and am finally back at full strength, I’ll continue sharing some random thoughts or maybe dive deeply into an interesting topic soon. Let’s see what’s waiting around the corner.
Until then… Stay safe out there, folks!
Commodore Bo, out.
